| NZ Online Bookstore - Website | |
XT3 was approached by a major New Zealand bookstore to overhaul their online bookstore. It was essentially a redesign from scratch. I was jointly responsible for the Systems Design/Architecture and development of the database. The site was to be built using MS Site Server and MS SQL Server 7.0. I left XT3 (amicably) early in the development phase. Technology: MS Site Server, MS SQL Server, MS IIS & ASP, MS InterDev |

| SPHC Group - Website | |
For the SPHC Group Website (http://www.sphc.com.au) I was responsible for the Systems Design/Architecture and development of the database. A large proportion of the SPHC site is dynamically generated, based around a Maintenance area where the client can enter & update Hotel Information, and a seperate area for individual hotels to maintain information on their hotels. Technology: MS SQL Server 6.5 |

| PolyGram Australia - Website | |
For the PolyGram Australia Website (http://www.polygram.com.au) I was responsible for the Systems Design/Architecture, development of the database & maintenance areas. A large proportion of the PolyGram site is dynamically generated, based around a Maintenance area where the client can enter & update News, New Releases & Featured Artists. All this information is stored in SQL Server 6.5 and retrieved by Active Server Pages (ASP) using ODBC to call Stored Procedures in SQL. The maintenance area also allows the client to migrate their data from the staging database to their live database, and to update their catalogue data from data dumps taken from their AS400. Technology: MS IIS & ASP, MS SQL Server 6.5, MS InterDev |

| Innovative People Solutions - Interview Guide | |
Innovative People Solutions (IPS) are a HR company that have Westpac Banking Corporation as one of their clients. The system they required was an Intranet application that allowed a user to generate a guide to use in the interviewing of a job applicant. I had total (technical) responsibility for this project, from System Design to Development. The site is totally data driven, as it is essentially a "wizard" that narrows selections as choices are made. It has a maintenance area where the client enters the questions to be asked and supporting material. Probably the most challenging part of this project was the clients requirement that the output be of a high quality. This was met by creating a Visual Basic (VB) COM object that communicated with the MS Word COM Object to generate a Word document on the server that can be downloaded by the user. Technology: MS IIS & ASP, MS SQL Server 6.5, MS VB 5.0, MS InterDev |

| Brilliant Digital Entertainment - Club Membership System | |
Brilliant Digital Entertainment (BDE - http://www.bde3d.com) produce fantastic interactive movies, visit the site to see some examples. The project I was involved in was assisting in the development of a Club Membership system. I was tasked with assisting in the design of the system, as well as performing the initial development. The system stored club "details" in a database, which the frontend queried to determine if club entry requirements were met, or if discounts on purchases were applicable. Technology: MS IIS & ASP, MS SQL Server 6.5, MS VB 5.0, MS InterDev |

| XT3 - Time Recording System | |
Not everything I do these days is web-related! My first job on joining XT3 (or Emerald as it was known in those days) was the development of a system to track the time people spend on various jobs. The criteria was that it had to have a small footprint, be unobtrusive and be easy to use - otherwise people would stay with their paper timesheets. The solution I designed & developed was written in VB, sits in the system tray as an icon which the user can click to start and stop timing, and uses SQL to store all the entries. Technology: MS VB 5.0, MS SQL Server 6.5 |

| APLD - Change Request System | |
APLD provided a client services area for their clients to log into to get info & feedback on their sites. A component of this was a Change Request System (CRS) that allowed clients to submit and track change requests (generally bug reports). I was responsible for the design and implementation of the initial system. Technology: MS IIS & ASP, MS SQL Server 6.5, Allaire Homesite |
