Racing GT6
Just a shot of one of the sexiest GT6's I have ever seen, taken at a TSOA
race day at Amaroo Raceway back in 1979. I have no idea of it's whereabouts
now but one-of-these-days I'll buy a Mk2 & do a road replica of this racer
but with Nissan or Toyota mechanicals which will also include a Datsun 240K
rear end.
Looking for a new host in Canberra? My father is the librarian for the ACT
branch of the PC Users Group and another Triumph nut, having owned a TR5 and
Spitfire Mk3 from new (which is still in pieces in the garage waiting for a
rebuild). I've asked him to make a few enquiries and contact you but if he
hasn't in the next couple of days let me know and I'll hassle him a bit on
your behalf.
I remember seeing your car a few times parked at Woden Plaza many years ago.
It looked the same as your photos but the paint was never as shiny as you
have it now. If you're ever out Parramatta way with some free time and in
the mood to talk Triumph & see some old (1979) photos of TSOA meetings let
me know.
