[ my cars ]
Triumph 2.5PI Mk 2
My first car, purchased as a white PI automatic with a red interior. It had rusted through welsh plugs, some panel damage, a noisy exhaust and was pretty rough. On the plus side it only cost me AUS$800, it was a genuine PI and still had all the right PI gear and ran. As time went by the auto became a manual, the PI was changed to carbs (parts cost), the white exterior was changed to a claret red and the interior was upgraded to a tan S model interior. Had this car for years.
Triumph TR6
I bought this TR6 off my father in about the condition you see it here. He sold it to me to buy the Stag below. I worked on it for a year or two but didn't progress much further other than stripping all the paint off and getting the chassis "fixed" (by a supposedly reputable firm who turned out to be bloody useless).
VH Commodore SL
Bought this on a whim from a friend of a friend. It had a 4.2 litre (253 ci) V8, 4 speed manual, big exhaust system and slightly lowered. I loved it. Had heaps of fun in it for about a year or two.
Triumph Spitfire 6
You can read about this hybrid here. The 2.5PI was used as part trade. I love this car but it is a total nightmare. If I had a brain I'd sell it. Needless to say I still have it.
Triumph Stag
Before I got this car I still had the Spitfire, the TR6 and the Commodore. I was not getting anywhere on the TR6 (young bloke more interested in spending time with girls and working cars than project cars) so Dad offered to swap the Stag that he had purchased to replace the TR6 for the TR6. I leapt at the chance, but that meant one of the working cars had to go. Sadly it was the Commodore. Most days I reckon it should have been the Spitfire!

With the Stag and the Spitfire as my only cars, reliability was becoming a real problem. Crunch time came when both of them broke down at the same time. My girlfriend (who is now my wife) helped to persuade me to get something more modern ("what type of idiot has 2 unreliable cars when he can afford a good one!"). This was the end result - a car I have always wanted and it was the third best thing I ever bought (the engagement ring and the house being the first & second). This car is reliable, fast, comfortable and a joy to drive - you can putter along in peak hour traffic without it getting cantankerous and roar off with gusto at the lights.

Of course, one of the 2 Triumph's had to go and funnily enough Mum suggested to Dad that he buy the Stag back, which he did. Everybody happy. Except maybe I should have sold the Spitfire and kept the Stag.
97 Subaru Outback Limited
My wife had this car before we got married, and it has now become the family workhorse. It's a great car, and we use it for our long distance driving. I'll put a photo up one day.
Peugeot 206CC
The most recent addition to the garage. This is a cool little car, red, black leather interior and fully electric retractable metal roof. We really should get rid of one of the others but they are all such good cars... Photo yet to be taken.
